Adolescent/Young Dog Package Options

Adolescent/Young Dog Class:

  • A Course of 6 x 1-hour sessions split into: 

    • 4 sessions teaching and proofing skills in a secure environment, ​

    • 2 sessions adding in distractions by practising training out and about in quiet and then busier areas.

​

  • Catered for all ages, perfect for: ​​

    • Puppy graduates,​

    • New rescues, 

    • Anyone wishing to brush up on skills.

​

  • A maximum of 4 dogs in a group to allow for plenty of 1-2-1 time with each dog and owner. This allows for slightly tailored teaching to the needs of each dog. 

  • Socialisation time where appropriate to allow dogs to mix constructively & I can talk you through interactions.

​

Next Class Dates - all classes are held at Golden Valley Vets in Nailsea, and surrounding town of Nailsea.​

  • Saturday the 6th of April at 11:45am - FULLY BOOKED

£18 per 1-hour group session.

1-2-1 Adolescent/Young Dog Course:

  • A block of 6 x 1-hour sessions which are completely tailored to you and your dog, taking into account what they already know, 

  • Held at your home/garden, or out and about depending on what we are working on, 

  • Can start at anytime!

£40 per 1-hour session

​

​

Hybrid Adolescent/Young Dog Course: 

  • A mixture of 1-2-1 sessions and class sessions for extra support, 

  • 3 x 1-hour 1-2-1 sessions, which can be held at any time, 

  • 6 x 1-hour in class sessions. 

​

9 x 1-hour sessions - £216 (worth £228, 10% discount applied to the 121 sessions when booked as a package).

Skills covered: 

  • Teaching and proofing behaviours such as: 

    • Down​/Settle training

    • Wait - followed by adding in movement distractions.

    • Manners around food, toys, and at doorways. 

    • Drop

    • Loose lead walking

    • Recall

    • Socialisation

    • Coming away from distractions 

    • Loose lead walking 

    • Appropriate greetings 

    • Any sticky skills (those skills you've never quite got the hang of!)

​

  • Taking these skills into the 'real-world'. Such as: 

    • Settling in public spaces such as parks, cafes and restaurants

    • Settling in the car

    • Body awareness 

    • Recall out and about 

    • Lead walking out and about

    • Teaching tricks such as middle, touch and an emergency stop! 

  • And lots more, including anything you wish to discuss and any questions you may have!

  • You will also receive:

    • Notes emailed to you after each session, detailing what we have covered, so that you can refer to this when practising at home with your dog! ​Email/Whatsapp support for life.​​
